After opening for Bomba Estereo last night

On my way back to New York from Boston after opening for Bomba Estereo last night. They really have an amazing energy and there sound is really the new sound and one of the most real and organic evolutions of afro-colombian beats. Listening to them you realize how grooves like "drum and bass" and disco are as tribal as "bullerenge" and "puya" which is why they work so well. The long sustained guitar chords, the layers of program samples all contribute to their trance that they manage to create in the room but the groove is always there. I'm really proud to have opened for them and they are truly an inspiration.
