Dear friends, I hope, once again, that you have not been too affected by hurricane Sandy. As you know, we canceled last Thursday's show at Zinc Bar because they did not have electricity due to the hurricane and there was also no public transportation to Lower Manhattan. Our monthly show will continue, as usual, on the FIRST THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH. The good news is that this coming Saturday we will be playing as part of the 9th Annual Encuentro NYC - Colombian Music Festival next to other great bands. For the last nine years "Encuentro NYC" has been a celebration of many New York-based artists that each have a unique approach to Colombian music. This yearGregorio Uribe Big Band is proud to be sharing the stage with the following bands (look them up!): Pablo Mayor's Folklore Urbano Ochestra, Grupo Rebolú, M.A.K.U Sound System, Daniel Fetecua and Pajarillo Pintao' Dance Company, Sebastián Cruz Cheap Landscape Trio, Alejandro Flórez-Tibaguí, Alejandro Zuleta Vallenato Collective, Martin Vejarano-Chia's Dance Project and Nilko Andreas Guarín. And you will get to see ALL OF THESE BANDS for only $20. Below is the information and I truly hope that you will come and support this beautiful and unique event that happens only once a year.
